Fantastic work.

A very nice portal, indeed. My big story has a good bit to do with portals and I guess I was inspired mostly by Stargate to begin writing it, though I am sure many other Sci-Fi/Fantasy stories were helpful.

I don’t mean Stargate as in the movie with Abados that SG-1 was a spin off of, by the way. The Stargate I mean is a book that I only read twice, about worlds that were connected by portals (sound familiar?) and the gods were the only ones allowed to use them to travel (yep, sounds familiar). One was a water world, that had a more amphibian god .. I don’t remember the rest, except one was relatively normal human maybe advanced up to Roman city type dwellings and had a goddess Anyway, in that book the Maker had become the Unmaker and the gods felt the need to rebel against him to protect their worlds. It was lovely, and I often thought that the other Stargate was heavily based on that, but it was more about our world and our technology.

My story was, originally, deeply tragic and poetic and etc. This was long befoe Colonel O’Neill existed, like I was finished with the rough draft when I was 16 or 17. It was burned. So, now the rebuild, if you will, is a comedy. Still has a lot to do with portals, though.

Sorry for the long comment, but what can I say? This is a very good portal and it inspired me to share.
