Artist Statement

Reason is a fragile vessel, all too often skewed by the things we exclude from consideration, such as our emotions and intuition.

I use texture and colour as a way of breaking down our sense of identity with intellect and form and reconnecting us to the sacred whole to which we all belong. I begin with a drawing, adding a number of digital layers until I feel I’ve reached a point of completion, or alternatively I work with fractal images, layering them into complex composite designs.

As a culture we seem to have lost our sense of wonder and excitement about the nature of life. The process of creating these pieces inspires these things in me, and I hope to share them with you through my work.
