A tiny Australian possum, the feathertail glider, who is even smaller than a mouse. He peers out from the Gum tree, laden with fragile blossoms, up towards the full moon.
This is a meditiation on the Australian wetlands. A homage to the disapearing ponds and swamp.
Drawn and painted using many fountain pens and different coloured inks. Here, I use collaging, enriched with shimmering sheet and shell gold and silver, adding and blending layers of thin Oriental papers, painted with Chinese watercolours to create richness and depth. all combining to create a feeling of dreaming underneath the full moon.
