13th Century Gothic (Blackletter) calligraphic piece. Lines taken from Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, written in sepia ink on vellum (cowhide) Decorations in gouache, with flat and raised gold illumination. Filigree in the style of The Windmill Psalter 1290.
