This is a portrait of Lynsye Medalia that I did for the challenge in the Bubblers Portrait group. The original reference photograph can be found in the Bubblers Portraits forum Hope you like it Lynsye-I enjoyed the challenge of creating your portrait! :) Photoshop, Corel Painter. Stylus and graphics tablet.
This is SUPERB !!!! You know the group is supposed to be traditional mediums only, but I’m changing that right away to traditional art in all mediums, including digital painting to be fair (I I think a slight redefinition is in order). I’m sooooo impressed- Lynsye is going to be tickled pink xxxx
Anita, thank you, thank you, thank you…I am so happy you are changing the rules – I didn’t know that digital was not ok. I did browse through some of the portraits already in the group to see that they had a digital component so thought all was well and good! :)) I am so happy that you like Lynsye’s portrait and see that digital can have merit – it will allow a lot more bubblers to be included in the group. Cheers Helen xox
Holy Crap!!! WOW Helen! This is just amazing! I don’t know what else to say…..I’m so honored that you chose to do this for the challenge and am SO excited that Anita will be allowing digital paintings now. Just, WOW! You’ve made me so shiny and pretty….THANK YOU! :)
I must say, it’s almost eerie to look at this and see myself staring back in this way, it’s like I’m looking into a mirror that goes into another realm…i’m ahving a complete ‘Through the Looking Glass’ moment right now! :)
Lynsye, I always think that it’s brave for someone to put themselves or their photographs out there to be interpreted any way the artist chooses. I am so pleased that you like the way I have portrayed you!

makes me very happy because it’s the same emotional state that I lapse into when I create.
I don’t know you Lynsye but I was trying to capture the essence of who you are…that special little light inside that lights up a room with your presence when you walk into it…you and others who know you can judge whether or not I suceeded!
Lovely to meet you through your portrait Lynsye! xox
And nice to meet you through this as well! WOW I’m still just so blown away! :) I do have a request – my mom REALLY wants this. LOL Can you make it for sale? i don’t care if you keep it for sale either, it’s just too cool, you are one talented woman!
