Hi, Rosie…Ms Titania simply evolved from another portrait (quite different) that I set out to paint…she had a mind of her own and simply made her presence known/felt.I let her have her way and she appeared. A kind of Shakespearean Titania…Queen of the Fairies. Someone with human qualities and flaws as well as her otherworldly charms…actually I am still getting to know her as I just completed this one today. Perhaps she made her way over from one of the festivals of Europe you mention and made herself welcome in my little study…an archetype of the feminine…cheers Helen xox
