Corel Painter X chalks and pastels on sandy pastel paper
As I scratched and sketched with my stylus on graphics pad it reminded me of the sound of Grumbacher and Rembrandt pastels on pastel paper that I used to work with in my ‘real media’ days. Creating this image was just as satisfying and I came away with clean hands!
So amazing to read about your experience in using the different media and level of satisfaction Helen. I remember in the early years of computers and internet my resistance to the change for reasons that it didn’t feel personal or tactile enough. Thank heavens for change and adaptation. This work is so beautiful and colorful- I love it.
Hello Rosie, ‘Thank heavens for change and adaptation’ I agree! Our lives have changed so much with the introduction of new media. How could we live without the Internet? As for art when I discovered Corel Painter and first used some of the oils brushes I imagined I could smell paint and turps…the experience was so ‘real’. Such an ingenious creation! I bow down to the creators who have changed the world of art..Cheers Helen xox
