Teapot With No Tea

I am a teapot, very unique,
I used to travel all over, pouring cups with glee,
But these days no body wants any of my tea.

I just don’t understand it one bit,
Always wrapped with paper; and perfect to fit,
In all the kinds of boxes I always sit.

I go mad multiple times,
Oh how nice I would be sitting in the kitchen making some tea,
But why doesn’t that EVER happen for me!?

I thought I was rare, A special piece,
Why wouldn’t you want me in your house? I’d look neat,
Special, ha, what a lie, I am nothing.

I saw the humans on the computer today,
And may I ask what is an EBay?
Because I saw my picture on their page.

A few weeks later I’m still in this box,
Suddenly the human comes back with money in hand,
And says it’s time I get a new owner again.

I realize now I go from place to place, just to be used,
I’ll never find somewhere to just stay,
Because I’m too “special” is what they say.
