Glaucus Atlanticus - Sea Slug by

Found this sea slug (and many of his brothers) on the Sunshine Coast. Weird little things, apparently quite poisonous. Also – they live upside down, so the pattern you see is actually their underside – their “foot”. Which I think is just awesome.

They sure are weird looking creatures Helena, like something from a sci-fi movie. Congratulations on your feature.

  • Thanks :) Yes, they are so strange. It took me ages to find out what they were.

  • thank you :) but you are right, it is a bit sad. I don’t know what caused so many to be washed up that day.
