life is pretty hostile you know. people are pretty angry. 5/7 of our days are spent working and most people will tell you they hate their jobs. when we do get time off everything’s busy, or closed when you most need it. a lot of the time you can’t spend your free time how you want for some reason that seems like it’s totally out of your control. family obligations. money problems. health issues. these many and subversive annoyances easily overwhelm to the point that someone else’s problems just don’t seem relevant to getting done what needs to get done. people are constantly holding their nose to the grindstone. feet to the floor. holding themselves down out of some dire sense of obligation to an ideal instilled far too long ago to remember. far too important to ever reconsider. these people held so firmly by their own hand, pace up and down their store-bought cages. they can only stifle snarls and glare up at we few, bright, aimlessly wandering strangers.
