My World Through Broken Glas

Amazing how much it changes the view looking through glass. I liked this shot because the sharp edges of the break on the galss are in contrast to the peaceful landscape I see when I look out of our window. it’s like real life….. there are sharp edges, broken things – and a lot of beauty, all at the same time.

I took about 170 pictures of this glass, on one sunny morning the day after the glass broke…. and in the end the ‘best’ one was the very first picture I took.

As I am here to learn, I’d appreciate any comments which help me to improve. May I invite you to take the time to express your thoughts…. don’t worry about what you think I want to hear. Thank you!

    sbc7, thank you for your thoughts. I hadn’t even thought of our throw away world, but you’re certainly right – it doesn’t really matter what it is we use to look a second time, maybe allowing us to find the miracle in the mundane.

    ever since I was old enough to hold a glass, I love to see what it would show as I drank my way to a view at the bottom ~ I love this artful shot ~ and the analogies your draw with your words. I always find & appreciate the paradox of pain & beauty in the shared moment of things ~

    Heide, this is truly gorgeous! I love the contrasts too, and the wonderful colors and reflections. I would personally like to see just a touch more ‘open space’ around the scene…but that’s just me. It’s truly an impressive image, and well worthy of the feature it received! Good on ya!
