cycling around the Bagan plain, visiting temple after temple was a great way to spend a day. The roads were of varying quality and there were times we got bogged in sand, but it was a lot of fun and much faster and more flexible than taking a horse and cart of a taxi.
The funniest part of the day were the young men on motor bikes, who would pull up beside us, striking up the following conversation (which was viritually identical each time)
Q: Hello! Where you from?
Q: Australia? Kangaroo?
A: That’s the on!
Q: You want to buy a Painting? I paint it myself. Own design!
A: No thanks
(the paintings were all identical, and while they weren’t bad, carrying a painting around in a backpack didn’t seem like a good way to transport “art”!)
Two Kim Klasson textures used. Stay and Cherish
