the Daintree Forest harbours many lovely things, cute critters, scary critters and approximately 70% of it is poisonous – don’t you love Australia?

I’m not sure what these mushrooms are called, but they clustered so nicely and the light was so good that they almost begged me to photograph them.

Canon EOS50D
100mm macro lens (yes, I really did spend a 3 hour walk around one of the most amazing World Heritage spots with a macro lens attached, I was hoping to shoot many small things)

Welcome to the world of Hege Nolan. I’m fascinated by the world and everything it contains. There is a focus on food and still lifes here, which sometime surprises me given my past history of portraits! (well, food doesn’t move or pull silly faces)

Great shot :) I am really happy that I live in an area were there are not too many poisonous things.
But on the other hand I probably miss out on many cute things, too. I guess you can’t just have the good things :)

  • thanks
most of Australia is safe, but there are a few very interesting areas. if you come and visit, take a guided walk around some of the most diverse ecological parts of the world.
