The replica of the Dutch Ship Duyfken was launched in Fremantle West Australia in 1999 The original Duyfken was deemed beyond repair after several battles in the Dutch East Indies in 1606 It has returned to its home port after 12 years. It is being supported by the WA Government for the next 10 years so it can be based at Fremantle
