This hadn’t been a good day at Elgol with rain pouring down most of the day but just as we were heading off the sun broke through a small gap in the clouds right onto the slopes of Sgurr na Stri and gave us a rainbow to boot! Didn’t have time to set the camera properly hence the silly aperture! A moment later it was all fading away.

mountain, rainbow, sea, sky, scotland, skye, cuillins

Moved to the Isle of Lewis in the The Outer Hebrides off the north-west coast of Scotland in July 2010 with the aim of getting out and about with my camera. Hasn’t quite worked out that way as we’ve spent the past 18 months refurbishing our house but the opportunities will come.

Meanwhile I’ll be going through my collection to pick out some of those that have pleased me over the years.
