Kenny’s Croft, Swordale, Isle of Lewis, Scotland

One of the joys of living on an island where crofting is still a way of life is watching the seasons unfold. Right now it’s lambing time and this morning, from our living room window, we watched our neighbour Alec help these two into the world. An hour later when they were settled I walked across the road to take their photo and here it is. Twins, born on the Isle of Lewis, just one hour old!

Moved to the Isle of Lewis in the The Outer Hebrides off the north-west coast of Scotland in July 2010 with the aim of getting out and about with my camera. Hasn’t quite worked out that way as we’ve spent the past 18 months refurbishing our house but the opportunities will come.

Meanwhile I’ll be going through my collection to pick out some of those that have pleased me over the years.
