A juvenile Common Seal pictured at the Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary in Lincolnshire, England
What can you say? He’s only a baby but he’s got a mighty impressive set of whiskers! The Mablethorpe Seal Sanctuary takes in animals stranded or injured around the coast of East Anglia, nurses them back to health and releases them back to the wild so this fellow might well be swimming free by now.

Moved to the Isle of Lewis in the The Outer Hebrides off the north-west coast of Scotland in July 2010 with the aim of getting out and about with my camera. Hasn’t quite worked out that way as we’ve spent the past 18 months refurbishing our house but the opportunities will come.
Meanwhile I’ll be going through my collection to pick out some of those that have pleased me over the years.
