This windmill is at Cley-next-the-Sea on the north Norfollk coast but it is difficult to photograph from the town so I scouted around and found this dyke to give a good forground with an uninterrupted view of the mill. This turned out to be the perfect place to try a bit of outdoor HDR since the forground was in deep shadow against the bright sky and windmill so this became a three shot HDR.
I love the way that the grasses on the left have a sort of ethereal glow something which just came out in the processing of the images, there is no added effect here. Sometimes working with HDR just surprises you.
The windmill by the way is actually a B&B!
