I had planned to walk into Coire na Creiche on the Isle of Skye to see the famous ‘Fairy Pools’ but didn’t know quite what to expect. I was truly astonished by the beauty of the numerous pools along the river where the crystal clear water sparkled and shimmered in stunning shades of greens and blues. There is no enhancement here to the colours of the water, this pool truly was this amazing shade of green.
This was taken in late afternoon but I had walked up in the morning the day before when the colours were equally remarkable but totally different. In the morning the pool were much more dominantly blue. I would have liked there to have been more water over the falls but it hadn’t rained for three weeks and you can’t have everything!
