Heading back to Perth from Canarvon,Western Australia on New Year’s Day 2012,my husband and I thought we were approaching a plague of locusts. To our amazement as we got closer that the mass colour in the sky were migrating budgies in their thousands and litterally covered the sky on both sides of the road. The budgies were coming down to get water at this dam, which the location is actually Billabong, approx 750km north of Perth on the North West Coastal Highway.Image taken with an Olympus Epl1 and an Olympus 14-150mm Zuiko lens. This photo was taken around 7.30am
