Beautiful image Heather. We had quite a day eh and never thought going out on a shoot would end up so tragically. As the only two people in the area at the time it fell to us to help and I know I just felt helpless initially until our brains kicked in. We have never turned our backs on 3 sites to shoot before, never walked around for 45 mins before setting up our tripods so I think we were just meant to be there at that time and that place to help save the other young life. This is a fitting tribute to a life taken too soon. RIP Hopa my fellow Kiwi.

  • Thank you very much Nola for this.We did feel helpless but just by fate we were there and at least by us getting help I am sure would have lead to saving the young girl who was exhausted from hanging onto her Uncle,Hopa. She was very brave!
