FEATURED in The World As We See It (05/13)
I bought a large black sea urchin , cracked it open and ate the delicious roe called uni! YUM!
Sea urchin roe is still considered to be an aphrodisiac by the Japanese. It is also commonly eaten for its healthful properties. Rich with protein, fiber, and Vitamin C, it is also a healthy source of vitamins A & E, iodine and calcium, helping to warm and energize the body, and promoting good blood circulation.
