Dawnrazor Part 1

Oh and the whole poem is inspired in part by the song of the same name by Fields of the Nephilim, the last lines in the poem are taken from the song and mixed up to make a little sense.

Dawnrazor Part 1 belongs to the following groups:

Dawnrazor
Cut me from my dreams
My refuge of insanity.
Cut me open when I drown in grey
Make me smile
Show me a future
I’ll find my way.

Dawnrazor
Pull me from my sleep
My refuge of calming ignorance.
Pull me towards a brighter day
Make me sing
When my sky grows pale.
Whisper to me from yesterday
Make me dream today
I’ll smile for tomorrow
If I see you,
A love I beg is true.

Dawnrazor
Bleed me of my nightmares
My refuge of tainted fear.
Give me reason
To waken my rhymes
To give unto this hole
My poison penned laments
My worms.

My sweet Dawnrazor
I’ll preach to you
All the wrongs
That make me feel so right,
You’ll just smirk
And claim to understand.
I’ll just dream
and hope you do.

My dear Dawnrazor
Where have you gone?
The shadows that loom
Over my starving grave,
Need to be chased away.
Where have you gone?
I pray you’re still watching.

Dawnrazor
You’re dark angel’s falling
Brush my wings
Ignite the dreams that survived
Being cut before.
