A sinner so sweet a child would blush
at the sight of murder and lust in his thrust.
A sinner of so many names
But still one word spoken to incite grand death,
The nightmare that causes girls to scream
in fear and sweat no longer safe in their dream
Woken by the whisper of hate on his breath,
He’ll creep in through windows to take their last.
Spirits would forge lies from his truth’s
spread them to mothers who curse his name
call them the laws by which the world moves
and expect all souls to follow along and play the game.

Sick of the burning wind
the constant roar of hell flame
the sinner rose to take the world
and bring souls to hell for company
bored now of being alone.

To Hell For Company

A quick poem inspired by the last words of the Cradle of Filth song “Bathory Aria: Benighted Like Usher, A Muder Of Ravens In Fugue, Eyes That Witnessed Maddness”

This is actually my first poem in a few weeks.

The title reminds me of the line from Mark Twain where he said ‘go to heaven for the climate and hell for the company’. Cool to hear that music, especially black metal considering the negative comments the genre cops, inspired you to write it.
