Barktown Light
This was commissioned by a friend who just missed out on buying ‘Peace’ He paid me, then said ‘do a picture for me’ :) So I kept along the theme of ‘Peace’ Except ‘Barktown Light’ is the bush across the road from me. I have the pleasure of walking my dogs and riding my horses in (and painting) this beautiful place. Acres of crown land, that many people use for recreation, and all where I live.

Thanx Alexandra. I live in the small town of Boolarra, Vic, Australia.that has been the attention of the media of late because of the devastating bush fires. I was lucky, my house survived, but this place and many others I have painted didn’t :(

Yes Bushfires are incredibly frightening and devastating things, and it makes me SO angry that most of them are deliberately lit. (I also live in a high-risk area)
