Heidi Schwandt Garner

Hi all, I am a self taught artist living in a small country town near Latrobe Valley, Vic. Australia.

As early as I can remember I have had a love of animals and nature and a love for drawing them. I feel the need to paint the amazing beauty of all things natural around me. Doing commissioned animal portraits has been a hobby for over 25 years until 2006 when I turned it into a business.

I use many different mediums including colour pencils, pastel and acrylic paint. I work from my home based studio.

Other interests are my motorbikes, 2 horses, 2 dogs and a cat.

It concerns and disappoints me greatly to see people (I will NOT call them artists) blatantly copy artists work, with no permission from the artist, post it up with no acknowledgment of the original work and then accept comments as if it’s their own, and put it up for sale as if it is their own.
