Mother Heart
The original is an 8” x 10” mixed media mosaic.
This piece was inspired by lesbian women devoted to raising children together. Two moms are better than one—twice the divine feminine power! I love the feeling in the silver figures. It’s a total lovefest. The colors surrounding them are joyous and the green is a symbol of female fertility.
My work is hand-beaded by gluing each bead, jewel and embellishment one by one onto foam-core using tweezers and toothpicks. I love this kind of meditative labor. I use vintage Swarovski buttons and crystals, beads, silver charms and hundreds of Czech bugle beads.

beautiful work,... I am curious to know if raising a child with two same sex parents will effect the child latter in life, emotionally. I personally dont have a problem with it…do you know if there has been any studies, etc,,,on the subject.

Hi Ruben,
That would be someone else’s expertise to predict, not mine! But if you ever read the papers in the U.S., you’ll notice that there are way too many hetero couples that have starved their children, set them on fire, molested them, thrown them off of bridges out of desperation, shot them to death in their beds, left them to die in trash cans, beat babies to death out of frustration and even sold them. So hetero couples aren’t exactly the best role model for parenting. :-)
Just be happy if your parents were ever home, didn’t molest you mentally or physically or otherwise screw with your head until you wished you had never been born. Psychoanalysis abounds here in the U.S. And not because people had 2 parents of the same sex. LOL Just my humble opinion… Oh, and I’m not gay but I actively support gay marriage and parenting.
