Hello Sheila, thanks for the visit ! The real quarries which are underground tunnels are closed to the public because of rockfall risk, but it’s an impressive place anyway. I haven’t been much on RB lately. Have you seen the Oman pictures I’ve uploaded some weeks ago ?

There appears to be a good supply for years to come.
When you look at the spot from the next hill a few km away, it looks strangely small in a vast landscape but for sure, to the scale of a painters canvas it must be millions of tons of stone… Thank you FM !

Visitors are indeed forbidden to collect the soil, sold very expensively in the official shops ! I guess the dust I got on my shoes from the walk was worth a pretty penny… ;-) Thank you Lorraine !
