I find it intensly interesting watching the fingers of a performer on a stringed instrument, but had never thought of wording it like that. I cannot play any instrument.
The words are adapted from this beautiful old english song by Purcell delightfully sung by Alfred Deller, From Rosy Bow’rs (eyes instead of voice…). Although he was not playing Purcell but some arabic music, I thought the words were perfectly fitting ! I can’t play an instrument as well but I am very happy I have ears to listen, and eyes to watch ! ;-) Thank you Fred.
gorgeous movement. i like how you allowed this photo to be grainy and without specific focus… this is how my mind goes when I lose myself while playing music for others. excellent expression.
Thank you Angus for this beautiful comment. To be honest I did not have many choices, due to the low light… ;-)

This is a beauty, full of the action of music, not to mention the beauty of the instrument. Is that an oud?
Yes it is, the original version of our lute (named from the arabic “al-oud”. They have their Stradivarius too… Thank you sheila !
