I really love oud music, one of the most delicate things on earth. But I can understand your “almost”, I didn’t buy one yet myself, after so many years coming to Damascus, because it has to be real love at first sight for the perfect instrument. Its time will come…

Lute is our word for “al-oud”, the arabic name with its article, same instrument… No lessons yet, my fingers are more fitted with the keyboard ! But the owner and craftsman is an old friend, I was already his customer at its antiques shop before he took over the workshop at his father’s death a few years ago… thank you Anne !
