Children playing with toy weapons? This is an alarming image and a powerful statement with your title. They should have fishing nets in their hands or be out playing on the beach in the warm sunshine. It would be so good for them. I wish I could offer them a day on the island, it would change their lives.
Thank you Sharon for this nice and generous comment !
If they didn’t have the guns they would play the same games improvising with sticks, it is a great sadness that in parts of the world children are using real guns and it is no longer play.
Yes I know Linda, it may seem naive to say so. But also there are some places where real guns are considered toys… Thank you for your comment.
It’s a really good monochrome Helene. As for playing with guns didn’t kids around you play cops and robbers or similar games when growing up? It’s been going on for ages and ages so stopping it isn’t really an option. I don’t actually like the idea either and if it helps turn kids into killers later on that’s really sad. You get the same sort of toys here and all the toys coming out of films too where kids pretend to shoot eachother but they grow up as normal people. It’s not the toys that are the problem but the environment and the hatred that is the real problem. If only people would learn to live with eachother they would ALL be better off.
You’re right Peter, kids have always and always will play cops and robbers, but still all the business made around a certain image of the “instruments” is not so innocent. There is second degree in every thing, also in my title…

I agree with you Helene. Making money out of those sorts of imitation weapons really isn’t acceptable. All we can do is boycott the manufacturers.
woah…deep.
Thank you J.M. !
