Thank you Jens, the place is interesting, just behind the Carlton Hotel abd next to a very busy railway station, great contrast of different social conditions.
What an extraordinary image! At first blush one almost thinks selective coloring was employed, before realizing that it’s just the stone facade of Edinburgh, a city in a country with dozens of words for ‘rain’ – so incessant is it. The red door, the subtle greens here and there – all contribute to this exquisite image.

People who have never stayed in a desert say it is just uniform and boring, while there are thousands of nuances in colours and shapes. Similarly one could think Edinburgh is just a black and wet city, while you can find so much there…
