David & Goliath
Damascus – Syria
This old hamman (public bath) used to be in the center of a popular market which has been recently destroyed and replaced by a public garden. The hudge concrete building behind was started maybe 15 years ago, construction stopped (problem of soil stability) and it will probably remain like this, lifefess and empty, till the end of time…

I’ve been dreaming for year to climb on top, must be a great view over Damascus there as it is just next to the old city… Thank you Richard !
PS : you’re right, it is well known that archaeologists have to destroy what they study in order to understand how it works, like the kids with their toys… ;-)
