Gordon Setter
This is my sons dog Tessa. Her registered name is Bodhran Ophelia. Gordon Setters originated from Scotland. They are slightly bigger than the Irish Setter and English Setters. Gordons are the only black and tan setter with Irish being red in colour and the English white with either a red or blue speckle. The Gordon Setter is a bird dog and we see Tessa “setting” with her paw up pointing to doves in our garden quite regularly.
Gordon Setter belongs to the following groups:
Animal Kingdom, As Is and Our K9 Friend 1 image a day (Dogs only) Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

Thanks Phil, Like most beautiful girls she is fairly high maintenance, but a pleasure to have around anyway.

She’s so alert! She looks slightly different in the muzzle and forehead to English setters. Lovely portrait.

Thanks. She had spotted a dove in the tree and I had to make her come back and sit several times before I got this photo.

You did well, then. It’s hard to compete against nature’s instinctive pull, I know, the fun I have with Misty when she spots the birds on the spouting above the window reminds me every time, I’m not much of a drawcard.
