Oil on Linen
I started with the flowers and glass vase dead center then thought to add to the borders. I was thinking at the same time about flower stems and the extent to which classical dancers distort their limbs. So that led to the woman on the right. Then I thought of my own ballet/toe youth. And the stemmy legs of dancers. And the girls on the left letting go and loving themsleves. And the benevolent instructor, whom they are all for sure not, enjoying the general enjoying.

Gorgeous work Barbara
Maggie, thanks so much. Painting has done so much for me… answers questions, makes for resolutions, reminds of what’s forgot and who I am now.

Nice colors and movement. ☺
Thanks Anne. Two things I aim for, what I most see every turn of my head.
