Thanks Dawson. I don’t usually do abstracts, but sometimes they pop out of me. I had my first garden in years last summer to a place I moved into a year ago, and the profusion of plants and color I was hauling home overwhelmed me. New life everywhere!! Growing things!!

Thanks screamqueen. I was working with all these plants and my brain was exploding with the colors. Thank God for paint. I lived through it. It’s not an easy life we’ve all chosen, but what a great way to deal with our hearts.

Very beautiful and musical composition with harmonious and happy colors.

  • Barbara Sparhawk replied

Thanks so much, iCandor. Interesting for you to say, it was musical in that it was kind of effortless, flowing, very happy.

That’s exactly what I meant when I said musical, that was the feeling I had when I looked at it.

Again, I love the way you make use of color. And what’s so special about this to me is that every time I look at it, I see something I missed before. Anything that can hold my attention for as long as this has, I consider great art. This is stunning work!

  • Barbara Sparhawk replied

Billyboy, your comments are making my day. Very kind, all the thought so appreciated. There was a moment in my youth, a very long time ago, that I suddenly recognized that color IS life. I hadn’t known that before, and never looked back. And interestingly enough, the adventure continues.
