That’s why this guys refuses to do them. Don’t need stressing over something that is supposed to be enjoyable :-) This is a nice shot though. The combo of the lighting and that shadow lifts this nicely. I’ll bet the couple were very happy.

  • Peter Evans replied

Thanks Graham at the end of the day they were very happy with what they received.Phew!

weddings can be stressful, i remeber my first one last year… i was so stressed leading up to it, and on the day almost made my self ill with worry… but as soon as i got there and started shooting i go into the swing of things and it was finnished before i knew it …. Have done about 4 weddings since then, and the butterflys are still there before but not nearly as bad…
Anyways this is an awesome shot and i an see exactly why they would have loved it… great lightining and play between the couple and the shadow… love it
    xx Sam

Weddings are SO very stressful! My mother has her own studio and I’ve assisted her on a lot of wedding shoots; not my favorite thing.

Again, this is completely different from most wedding photography; it’s elevated. Love the supersaturated color and the heavy contrast.

Thanks so much for all your comments, btw!

  • Peter Evans replied

Your right they are soooo stressful particularly when your not doing them all the time.
Thank you again for the great comment :-)

You have framed this well and I love the way the bride’s dress is in motion, the shadows, the light on her beautiful skin, her sweet smiling expression as apposed to his upright (uptight? lol!) one.
Ya know what I’da done? Retained the ridge but shifted the yellow wall right up to the top of the frame above their heads.

    Thanks Carol.
The wall stopping where it does worried me as well.
But his head is over the top of it and I didn’t want to cut it off.
Hang on do mean I should have cloned the entire wall up ?
