Stopped by time

A poem inspired by this image.

Still a work in progress, any feedback more then welcome.

For many years,
Man tinkered and played,
So I could keep on going.

Every day I continuously ran,
Without a reason or rhyme.

But they were times long ago,
When I was of use to man,
And he was of use to me.

Wasn’t till I was left alone,
That I was stopped by time.
