G’day all,
I am an Albury based photography addict. I discovered photography about 2 years ago and have enjoyed my journey along this learning path. I enjoy all types of photography, however I have a real affinity for a good rural scene, especially containing trees.
I feel very lucky and priveledged to be living in the country I live in and especially in the Albury area in particular. The The Albury region is blessed with many a wonderful landscape within driving distance, from rural pastures to rugged mountains and flat plains. This region can be both rugged and fertile all within an hours drive.
The last 2 years have been lean in terms of rain and have left a mark on the land, The weir at Albury got down to the lowest it had been and revealed many a hidden treasure from its depths.
Many of my works are from sunrise and sunset and that magical golden hour around these times. The transition from night to day and day to night hold special light that truly shows up the texture of this wonderful land. It is this light that inspires me to photograph and capture the pure brilliance that i see. My images are not always a true editorial depiction of the moment but rather how I saw it in my minds eye.
I have a blog that describes the thought process behind some of my images, both in terms of shooting and processing.
Well have a browse through my images (please note that I am still in the process of uploading to redbubble so if you want to look at my broader collection please go to the following link here , if you see anything there that you would like to purchase please let me know and I will get it uploaded here). If you do purchase a piece of my art I hope it brings you many years of joy in viewing, if you just choose to view I still hope that these images bring you the same joy they did me in creating them.
Cheers,
David

Night time storm has made its mark
Went to bed amongst the quiet / With a start I heard the riot / Eyes wide open and aware / To every sound I did scare / As the noises had caught me napping / How I did not hear the raven flapping? …
Stopped by time
For many years, / Man tinkered and played, / So I could keep on going. Every day I continuously ran, / Without a reason or rhyme. But they were times long ago, / When I was of use to man, / And…
What becomes of a tortured soul.....
What becomes of a tortured soul, / Uncovered from the past. / Do regrets fade with time, / Or strong enough to last. What becomes of a tortured soul, / Exposed again to light. / Can the wrongs of …

Darkness is.....
Darkness is a phone call in the middle of the night Darkness is a 3 hour car ride Darkness is sitting in a waiting room Darkness is thinking the worst Darkness is not knowing.
Memoirs of a bar fly (Part 1)
The smell of the place hadn’t changed in over 60 years, that awful mixture of stale beer, sweat and cigarette smoke, I should know I have been visiting O’Reilly’s Pub for the majority of my life…
