poetry --tanka sequence

poetry…

these are the records
our engineers left behind
the secret god words
strung with stars on subtle threads
sewn into poet’s fingers

and when earth is read
the sky will rain red sea verse
upon their elders
coating them with mother’s blood
balancing their weighted scales…

and when we are read,
and all the words have spoken,
left at our left feet,
we shall pick each letter up,
and write out our world once more…

Monks usually are. :) fear not! I love you, slowpoke. I’ve been pretty darn slow myself as of late – life, you know, always going along…:)
