State of the Nation

Emaciated masses messing with minds,
controlling and needling needy hearts
into numb necrophilia,
by way of mangled
cordial nuance

dangling like carrots

every man’s dream
……………………….just out of reach;
cradled by the waving fingers
of a democracy gone bad.

Starving
we scrape our dignity
from dementia’s toil,
as the mind messers mess
with the wasted tongues
of the tasteless.

And as the dire winds blow
and tumbleweeds roll

they watch,
consuming their carrots whole.

Dear, you made a great point, which you missed in the final analysis, me thinks.
    as the mind messers mess

    of the tasteless.
You know me, the political freak. The problem is just as much on the side of the voters as it is on that of the politicians. All one must do is to look at turnout information. Just over 51% of registered voters bothered to show up for the 2004, Bush/Kerry election. This is a stunning number considering what was happening in the world and in the country at the time. We were involved in two wars, spending $1 billion a month in Iraq alone (i.e., on a patently illegal war [simply read the Geneva Convention, “preemptive war” is illegal under any circumnstances] knowingly [that Bush, Cheney, Rice and nearly everyone else in the admin. other than Colin Powell, knew that “Curveball”, their only source for information supporting the idea that there was an active nuclear program, was entirely unreliable is demonstrable. In fact, US intel agents did not even interview him themselves. He was a German source, and they would not allow direct access. What they did do, however, was to call all of his assertions into question in a report to the CIA. Can you believe that his codename was in no way ironic?] sold to the tasteless public under entirely false pretenses, was by then a relatively well established fact.), the torture of prisoners had already been disclosed, as had the program known as “extraordinary rendition.” In short, there was a hell of a lot at stake, and we barely hit 50% turnout? This is a shocking number. I know that you don’t expect the foxes to abandon their fat hen house of their own volition. My point, get the f out and do something people.
You’re my number one girl; I like it, and love you,

yes…indeed. and what a mess ii is.

thank you, once again, for seeing; knowing; sleeping; waking; and pulling the string back one inch at a time.

kristin, the situation is undeniably tragic, and as you know we can’t always attribute these thinsg to human greed or lust for power, as we inhabit a galactic environment where humans are seen as a kind of “somatic food” as you indicated with the carrot metaphor. It is not just the moon that eats our leaked away energy. The people in “power” are shells, used by a far more sinister aganda than “politics”.

The thing which some people don’t get, including many doom n gloom conspiracy theorists, is that humans possess a power that is theirs alone, and despite the envy of other beings, they will never be human and possess this power. What that power is, this can’t really be adequately described, but it is embedded in every human heart, and found by all who seek.

A human may, at this present time, be subject to many things that are beyond his/her power to change. Even as I get upset and irritated about mind control, I am handing over some of my emotional energy. Some things will happen without our permission. But to hand over your soul, no being can insist on this, you have to give permission for this to happen, no one can make you. The real evil is not in soul theft, it is in the deceit which makes humans think they have no choice in the matter.

  • Kristin Reynolds replied

As you know I’ve separated myself from politics for reasons that are at the heart of why we have always considered ourselves alone. I remember when you wrote this and it was at the peak of my personal desintigration before rebirth and could not in such a state reason which way was up or down(unless of course i happened to collapse then i was certain of ‘down’ but the ‘up’ remained a mystery for a while), and in such a state your poetry fell on deaf ears.
but crystal clearly I can now see both your point and the reason that politics is no longer any of our concern.
Most of the comments above sprung from the commenters as if a steel trap in thier minds had been set awaiting any reason to spring and express thier concern for how ‘we’ have to ‘change’ the ‘injustice’ and more or less ‘take the power back’. missing your point altogether.
We dont nor did we ever, have any ‘power’ to reclaim .The carrot is not dangling from any one. the carrot itself is perhaps the most ingenious mind trick creation has ever assembled…designed so that both sides of the ‘argument’ see the other dangling it, when infact ‘the carrot’ itself is not even of earthly origin.
It may be just you and I comrad, that understand the paradox that creates this dimension…the third dimention...the demention that in fact would not exist without the stuggle on every level between the three forces at work here- positive, negative, and neutral. without the struggle beween the positve and negative aspects, encompassed everywhere and always by the neutral soup in which it all swims, at every level, our reality would literally crumble to the dust that it is, in fact the dust itself would cease to exist because it is under the same laws as the rest of us! Neither ‘side’ can ‘win’ without eventually embodying what they ‘hated’ most in the other ‘side’. And it does no good to go and look at history books or any record of the past for that matter, because the adjustments poeple make to their ‘opinions’ on such matters are so subtlely changing at all times that they don’t see that any change has taken place…and the finger of blame again gets kneejerked without consious thought to ’ that guy or that thing
The entire time what they are thinking of as ‘utopia’ exists in the neutral soup itself, a place most cannot even fathom exists, because it consists of only one form of matter that cannot be quantified in any possible way under the conditions of third dementional existence!...In effect when we gaze upon it, as we do at all times in every crack and crevice of the ‘world we inhabit, what we see(or in fact don’t see) is nothing. ...it avoids being named, but in this stark comment I would go with the word ’ intent ’, but my personal fave is simply ‘joy’ ...Unfoutunately, were we all to exist in the neutral ‘reality’ -beauty, ugliness, love, hate, this that, and everything else would cease to exist. (unless the miracle of simultanious realization occurred, in which case the earth as a whole would evolve into a star,in a ‘supernova’ so to speak, as this is in fact the way the universe ‘grows’) but there is no guarantee of this as is evident by the infinite number of dying stones floating through space, and this brings me to the crux of the illusion we all contain…the mastery of the world in which we all exist by the influences created in the dog eat dog realm of the third dimension as a whole, throughout the universe. Planetary influences, if you will affecting human kind in a myriad of ways, but the most prevelant being that the ‘good’ guy always wins…and when the ‘bad’ guy wins its an ‘injustice’ and something has to ‘be done’ about the injustice ...all that is ever ‘done’ is to purpetuate the cycle!!!
In short-The ‘bad’ guy is always the one with the carrot…untill the ‘good’ guy gets it… Then he’s the bad guy isn’t he?

  • Kristin Reynolds replied

You are right, you know I know.
    I understand.
I am trying to conserve my carrot; the eaters of such things can go to fucking hell as far as I’m concerned. :)
they can take their long tongues; their lizard breath; their guns and their worlds with them when they go…I will fight for my carrot until I die doing so. and then I will fight again until i am the carrot.
    xoxo
    thank you for understanding.
