Children are indeed a mother’s finest work of art.

oh kristin- theres nothing that compares to it, is there? i can remember sleeping with my newborn son on my chest at the hospital, and the nurses telling me i couldn’t do that and taking him to his crib. as soon as they left, i put him right back on my chest. we did that all night long, but i knew it was right- his skin on my skin was where he belonged.
thanks for that memory.

Chills everywhere. Too much beauty here (is there such a thing?). Oh I do carry this poem with me in my heart for the moments my children gave my life its most immeasurable meaning. Sigh. Our greatest gifts no doubt. xoxoxo
