that come
as barefoot warriors:
all taught skin and beating drum,
inching towards the only space to hear it –
Call: The ancient mind of the seeker.
Of pre or post thought -
there is none.
There is no sound here.
Only the silent prints
of layered soles
upon new
and salient grass,
feeling each and every blade
as a lifetime come
to ripe;
each and every open pore singing the tales
of those
who’ve gone before –
at the ready
to strike!
To pound!
To dance!
To face that which faces
its own
silent
drum.
A perfect amalgamate
of force and magnetism,
tracing its song
through the sudden wind
on your upturned
face.
Savoring your moment.
Smelling it.
Acknowledging it with closed eyes
and inhaled breath.
Within your every waking dream,
like opium-laced spears puncturing,
evoking
your every red-bead pore,
to LIVE!
These moments come wild
and unforgiving,
beautiful beasts in a moonlit field –
heads up
and still.
Statues on the plain listening
for their own heart’s beat;
whispering the beat
through their singing feet,
time to SPRING!
Beating their hooves
to dust;
blinding their Pre’s,
while stealing their moon
until all that is left is the sound
of the drum
in your chest,
marking your path
with silence.

Making your mark through the marshes and thorns that can hold us back is a testimony to any who are able to succeed while doing it…the journey through life is indeed a treacherous one and the pitfalls are so tempting at times but to walk the course and make it and do it your own way is a great achievement…you can disregard all the bull i just said..these thoughts came to my mind as I read.
Kristin Reynolds replied
I like hearing your thoughts, my cool, cool friend. :) xo

An awesome write. The warrior’s walk is living and real in every line and in every thought expressed. It’s no wonder that you are the princess with the heart of a warrior.
Kristin Reynolds replied

Read like a wise seer handing down the mantra of life Kristin….. brave…I think you spoke of being brave of heart in this. That is what stood out for me…..to be brave, to rekindle the fire of your courage when it may be only a flicker of a flame… Bold and brave…yes that is the other ingredient here. Your writing offers a lot of nourishment….XXX

What a compliment! Thank you, Ks. I’m so glad. xo love, K
