Beyond: The Song of Something Good

Softly
bright bluebirds fall
behind the lids of rain;
masking the waking dreams of pain
with song.

    st francis thought birds were the intermediaries between humans and angels. i have found nothing to contradict that view. your writing is like daumal’s pearl – rare and necessary.

  • Kristin Reynolds replied

    Yes. :)
    After my mother passed, a white dove came to my grandmother’s apartment windowsil (my mothers, mother) and simply would not go. it just sat there looking into the window for hours right after she’d passed. I’ll never forget that.
    Thank you, my dear for the_rare and necessary_…coming from you, that is a great gift, thank you. x

    A falling rain of bluebirds…..that is the image I saw. It was ambiguous though as it was like a gift that required one to run and tumble and catch the bluebirds incase they fell too hard to the earth…. It is not good enough perhaps to see the bluebird of happiness….we need to move our butt and catch …one at least if we can…. XXX

  • Kristin Reynolds replied

    Thank you, KarenSue, I agree…one must move ones butt a bit out of the muck, in order to see the clear of sun. :) lol xoxo
