Speaking of Red

Trying to describe red with a tinge of introspection on my part. it is a color meant to be felt.

Speaking of Red belongs to the following groups:

"Poetry and Beautiful Women" , All Out Emotion, All Things Poetic, Artistic, Philosophical, Up & Coming Writers and WMG

In seeking the spell that blinds one to red -
not of feverish unguarded rage,
but the burning red of passion,
one must first look within
to the darkest dark;
the most urgent rendering
of voiceless sound
igniting the pilot of all
that ever was holy
For it is here where the red waits
to weave our souls
into the ether,
while speaking
with a passionate tongue…

Yes, red is just red, it can take us to paradise or war, the drive to create Reality. This is a really excellent poem. I don’t know why but the word “holy” was a centrepiece for me. “Divine” wouldn’t have cut it, holy is red, but not the blood on the cross red, true ballsy spirituality.

  • Kristin Reynolds replied

Thank you so much, Jim. I totally agree about ‘Holy’ it is pure fire spirit. :) appriciate your comments, Kristin

You are the hammer, the words the nail; you hit it on the head once again, like the Oracle of Delphi. Your words, riddles, metaphors are all red with the flesh and blood, which you put into your work. If you’ve got it, you’ve just got it! Love, RBG (: :). True!

  • Kristin Reynolds replied

sheesh! I suck! ha! You must have thought I hated your guts; I never responded to you at all! shit. lol

thank you, my daaaaling, for the whole Oracle of Delphi thing…I am glad I can enjoy my days here, instead of seeing for a bunch of wankers, however sweet the guazy gown she had to have worn, if anything at all.
    :) xo

indeed. there is passion and there is Passion. knowing the difference can be tricky. and to look in those darkest darks requires the participation of all three of us. the body must be made electric, its atmosphere collected, there must be wish, one must know, one must be silent, obstacles must be removed without force. and then the grail of voluntary passion can be found. i have not found it yet, my friend, but your words renew the energy of the search!

You always see through to my poems heart.
Do you know how many hours I spent working out, on paper, active, neutral and passive? I have so many scenarios written down, that are actually pretty cool. but at first? boy was it tricky.
When you find it, would you be kind enough to call: 1 800 4-silence. I will be glad to issue a reward. :)

    These words just RESONATE RED.
I feel that I am not proficient in the use of words, which is probably why I express myself visually.
After reading this and the passionate feedback, I want to ‘PLAY RED ALL DAY’.

Sincere thanks from someone who sees, tastes, and hears in color, then …...doesn’t.

Wow, thank you so very much, Mel. :) I totally know where you’re coming from, as I’m much better at expressing myself through writing, than any other medium. I also see in color, though, so i’m with you there. It is both brilliant, and hard to look at alot of the time. :)
    thank you! K
