Artist's Description

Keep your eye on this for updates!
I’ve decided to have a theme to connect a few projects from different classes together. For drawing, we have a ‘scriptings’ project. a hypothetical public sculpture design, a series of drawings of a sculpture that doesn’t necessarily exist. Unless I make it in Metal work! Where I have to make a metal structure a meter off the ground and 10 meters long, holding up or carrying something not necessarily metal. Which means I can make the track 10 meters long of rusted segments from the plasma cutter. The ball, a ceramic painted ball inscribed with hypothetic symbols and markings representing a language. i could have different balls representing different languages I thought! So for my last woodwork project in which I have to make a series of hand held wooden items that create different messages depending on their installation positions. like one has fallen off the track or is broken, like the dead language of Latin. And finally for a diptych in painting class, I’ll paint the idea in a natural surrounding of a desert. Lots to do so little time. Time is an illusion. Lunch time doubly so.
update
There are now 34 sections all rolled by hand into a melting shape. i’ll be making 3 plasma cut legs for ech section. do the math and you’ll see why this project has become a tiring one. each leg will be welded on… sooo muuch wooork!
