I think he probably was quite old. He was certainly very regal on the day sat away from the lionesses and cubs, soaking up the sunshine, surveying his territory!

Was he in a zoo or the wild?

The shot was taken at Longleat wildlife park in the UK. I had to take it through the car window as we drove through the compound with a telephoto lens, whilst trying to stop the kids jumping on me! He was nearly given an early lunch!!
