Shot at at stage 8 of the Taiwan Cycling Association race series. This was a team time trial at a 3.4km vehicle test track in Taichung. The team had 3 laps to prove themselves against 40 teams from all over the island.

Wow, great image. interesting that the bikes have breaks for track racing…. Just to let you know, we just started a new group called Pro Peloton Photographers This would be a great image for the group. Tell anyone who is into road racing photography
Just to let you know this was not your normal track. It is actually a car test track and is about 3.4km long. There were two races this day. One was a team time trial, and the other a mass singles race. I race in both and with 34’c temperatures and a heavy 40km cross wind it made for a challenging ride. Most of the guys racing used a time trial setup, hens the brakes.
cool that you got hooked up with the racing scene in a foreign land….. thanks for joining the group….
You wouldn’t believe the quality of the race organization here. Huge numbers of people with amazingly difficult mountain climbing. One race ended after a 70km mountain route with a 2km 16-18% grade wall.

Plus almost all brands of bike frames are manufacture here. I have a friend with a new bike brand. You should checkout www.rikulau.com. They build (custom) Raynolds 953 stainless steel road bikes. Light as air.
2k of 16%, sounds like a leg/lung burner for sure. and I thought the hill here in PA were tough. but don’t you just love hills…. I couldn’t live in the flats. Hills just pump me up. although as I get older, I go up slower. but still love hills. hey, I’ll check out the web page on your friends bikes. thanks
If you ever want an exciting trip for cycling you should consider Taiwan, amazingly beautiful riding. The flight really sucks (20 hours +), but the weather is always hot and the mountains are endless.
