Anzac Day in the Nation's Capital

Today is Anzac Day. It is a holiday in Australia. This day is a time of acknowledging the heros who gave the ultimate price for this amazing country. During the day my thoughts focused on the sacrifices made by these courageous men and women and I became teary. Other times I was filled with pride remembering the fighting spirit of these unselfish people.

I often think of how I can repay them for their devotion to freedom and willingness to defend our shores. What would I say to them and how could I be a reponsible Australian to maintain their sense of honour while defending our shores. I suppose all I can do is say “thank you” on a day like today and choose to live the best life possible.

What will you do?

Hi Harles- It’s so nice to read about others taking Anzac Day seriously. I too thought with thanks and gratitude of all those men and women who were willing to go and defend our country and great lifestyle.
