I felt the cold rain splash my youthful face
To calm my angered heart
I enter this harmonious place
The trees, they quiver in the gentle breeze
The miseries of before I leave behind
A silver bird flies overhead
Weaving my life, thread by thread
The gentle flow of rain begins to increase
Chilling my bones, making me weep
I left this place to start again
Predestined to be unhappy forever, until the end
A beautiful face now calls my name
But when I search I do not find
The fire within me is lit again
My fury glows, confusing my mind
I continue to walk, going insane
As each year passes beauty calls out my name
I will never be happy, never complete
I felt the cold rain splash my wrinkled cheeks
I now walk among the dying weeds
Perishing slowly, always unseen

My Angered Heart

I’d been reading a lot of W.B Yeates around the time I wrote this, again quite a few years back. Basically it’s about growing old and never accepting what you have in life, always looking for something more until one day you realize you have nothing left

The fire obviously was never exstinguished or you would not be so driven… Always moving.
